Lampwork beads and glass jewelry- It's my calling...

"...Fueled by a love of her great grandmother's collection of glass paperweights and a long time obsession with sculpted glass, Christine Sutter finally started working with glass when she took classes at a local art school in Arizona. The very first time behind the torch she knew she must commit herself to creating handmade lampwork (or flamework) beads and glass artisan jewelry. Over time she has developed a passion for using silver rich boutique glass from the USA and Murano, Italy, in combination with dichroic and goldstone. Her focus is to create unique lampwork beads that push glass properties to their fullest potential, displaying many light-capturing layers that radiate from any angle..."

In the last three years Christine has started making large hole beads also known as pandora, trollbeads, biagi, chamillia style beads that have a sterling silver core to slide easily over a "build your own" bracelet or necklace system. To finish her lampwork charm beads she uses hand-cut and hand-dapped sterling silver bead caps riveted together with single core of sterling silver. Using raw materials ensures her lampwork beads will turn out exactly how she wants them to look. The silver cores of every lampwork bead are size-tested on her own personal, authentic biagi, pandora and trollbeads brand bracelets. The sterling silver tubing Christine uses is the perfect size to fit snugly over the threaded features of the pandora and biagi bracelets, without being too loose. Even if you do not have one of the popular charm bracelet systems these lampwork beads will easily slide over almost any standard chain or cord for immediate enjoyment. Because of this they are wonderful artisan quality unique gifts!

Christine is a member of International Society of Glass Beadmakers, Arizona Society of Glass Beadmakers and is a Self Representing Artist. (SRA) #S69
